The Stranger than Heaven release date has finally been revealed by Sega and Ryu ga Gotoku Studios, as well as a surprising real-world inclusion to the anticipated brawler.
The aforementioned release date isn’t too far off, as it’s planned to drop on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on January 17, 2027. Both the standard and deluxe digital editions are now available for pre-order, alongside physical standard and collector’s editions. The collector’s edition includes an exclusive 12-inch vinyl record, as well as an exclusive SteelBook case, deluxe upgrade and pre-order bonus DLC codes, and exclusive cover art.
Easily the most surprising aspect of the trailer was the appearance of Tupac Shakur — the brilliant and iconic rapper and actor who was murdered in 1996. During the presentation, it was noted that his inclusion in the game was done with the permission of his estate and is being handled entirely without the use of AI.
