Playism has announced that No Case Should Remain Unsolved, the latest mystery adventure from Korean indie developer Somi, will launch on PlayStation 5 on August 19, 2026.
The game is already available on Steam and Nintendo Switch, where it has gained attention for its emotional story and testimony-based puzzle structure. The PS5 release will coincide with the first official merchandise for the game, which will be available through the Playism Official Store.
A Cold Case Reopened
No Case Should Remain Unsolved follows the Seowon Disappearance, a case from February 5, 2012, when a young girl went missing from a playground. Police questioned everyone involved, but the case went cold.
Twelve years later, retired detective Jeon Gyeong gets pulled back into the investigation after a young officer asks her to revisit it. As old memories return, one truth becomes clear: everyone tied to the case was lying.
Testimonies as Puzzle Pieces
The game asks players to solve the case by sorting through Jeon Gyeong’s memories and the testimonies of people connected to Seowon.
Those fragments are scattered, with no clear speaker or timeline. Players need to read tone, context, and details to place each piece correctly. As the case takes shape, the story moves toward one of two endings.
Strong Reception on Steam
No Case Should Remain Unsolved currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 96% of more than 10,000 user reviews recommending it.
Playism says the game fits fans of mystery novels, dramas, and story-driven games. The PS5 version will support English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Indonesian.
No Case Should Remain Unsolved launches on PlayStation 5 on August 19 for $9.99.
