RuneScape: Dragonwilds Update 0.12.1 Overhauls Agility

Jagex has released RuneScape: Dragonwilds Update 0.12.1, giving the survival-crafting game a full Agility overhaul during Early Access.

The update adds new traversal options, Agility courses, rewards, shortcuts, skill spell changes, and quality-of-life improvements. Jagex also revealed Digital and Physical Deluxe Editions coming later this year.

Agility Gets Rebuilt

Update 0.12.1 adds six fixed-route Agility courses with leaderboards, letting players compete for the fastest times.

Gold Medal times now displayable gold medals, while mastering each course earns Gold-Trimmed versions of regional capes.

Traversal has also been expanded. Players can now add a horizontal dash to their double jump, with a second dash available at higher Agility levels. Running on foot now grants passive Agility XP, and a new breakfall mechanic lets players roll out of non-fatal falls.

New Shortcuts and Spell Changes

Windstep has moved from Runecrafting to Agility. As players upgrade the spell, it creates a shockwave when landing.

The update also adds Kebbit Burrows, hidden shortcuts that players can dig up around the map. These tunnels connect burrow points and give players faster routes across Ashenfall.

Higher Agility levels now reduce sprint stamina use and increase carrying capacity, making resource runs smoother.

Combat and Crafting Tweaks

Jagex also added several core, UI, and skill updates.

Blocking should feel more responsive, damage tells have been adjusted, and ammo switching has been improved. Some spellcasting now reduces player movement, while the Mystic Forge can upgrade Masterworks and weapons to higher tiers.

Deluxe Editions Revealed

Jagex confirmed that Digital and Physical Deluxe Editions of RuneScape: Dragonwilds are on the way.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full digital game, craftable Gilded Armor, a Gilded Cape, six low-poly OSRS-inspired helms, four Dragon head wallmounts, ten paintings, and two animated animal decorations: Muncher and Chinchompa.

The Physical Deluxe Edition includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition, plus a collector’s box, steelbook with original artwork, three skill patches, five holo-effect character cards, and a cloth map of Ashenfall.

The Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox and PlayStation will be available when RuneScape: Dragonwilds launches on September 15. Physical Standard and Deluxe Editions arrive November 5 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
