Tencent has announced Worlds of Play: The Game Art Exhibition, a global game art showcase taking place during gamescom 2026 from August 27-29 at Wassermannhalle in Cologne, Germany.
The exhibition will feature art, statues, scale models, installations, and behind-the-scenes materials tied to 40 game titles from Tencent’s in-house teams and partner studios.
Five Themed Zones
Worlds of Play will be split into five zones: Reality, Experiments, Abyss, Epics, and Wonderland.
Reality focuses on modern combat games, including Arena Breakout, Arma Reforger, DayZ, Delta Force, PUBG Mobile, and Rust Mobile.
Experiments highlights sci-fi, including Control Resonant from Remedy Entertainment.
Abyss centers on horror and darker themes, featuring Cronos: The New Dawn, the Dying Light series, GTFO, Layers of Fear, and The Medium.
Major Franchises and New Art
The Epics zone includes work tied to Assassin’s Creed, Atomic Heart, Black Myth: Wukong, Golden Spatula, Honor of Kings, Honor of Kings: World, League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Phantom Blade Zero, Teamfight Tactics, Valorant, and Valorant Mobile.
Wonderland will focus on ACG culture, with titles including the Girls’ Frontline series, Goddess of Victory: Nikke, Wuthering Waves, and Light and Night.
Tencent says select artworks will make their global debut at the exhibition.
Developer Talks and Public Events
Worlds of Play will be open to media, influencers, and the public. Visitors can expect curated art displays, developer talks, cosplay showcases, and other community-focused activities.
