505 Games and Indolphinity have announced a new Wuchang sequel, with original creator Xia Siyuan returning to lead creative development through his new Chengdu-based studio.
The new agreement puts Indolphinity in charge of development, while 505 Games will fund and publish the game globally.
Wuchang’s Next Chapter Begins
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers first launched on July 24, 2025, and became a major release for the action RPG Soulslike space.
According to 505 Games, the game reached more than 131,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch and hit 5 million players across PC and consoles.
Digital Bros Group acquired the Wuchang IP rights in April 2026, establishing a new partnership between 505 Games and Indolphinity.
Original Creator Returns
Xia Siyuan founded Indolphinity after his work on Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The studio will now lead the sequel’s creative direction from China.
505 Games and Indolphinity say they want to keep the series rooted in Chinese culture while building it into a long-term global franchise.
Digital Bros Expands in Chengdu
Digital Bros Group will also establish a dedicated subsidiary in Chengdu to support development and publishing work around the franchise.
The new local office will work closely with Indolphinity as the next Wuchang game moves forward.
A Long-Term Plan for Wuchang
Digital Bros Co-CEO Raffi Galante said the company sees Wuchang as a long-term global franchise and wants to support the original creative vision with publishing resources.
Xia Siyuan said Indolphinity will continue listening to players while building on the cultural foundation of the series.
No title, platforms, or release window have been announced yet for the new Wuchang sequel.
