Bandai Namco has released a new Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Story Spotlight video ahead of the game’s August 28 launch on Nintendo Switch 2.
The new version brings FromSoftware’s open-area action RPG to Nintendo’s latest console with the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree, and added content.
The Lands Between Come to Switch 2
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition lets Nintendo players enter the Lands Between and follow the path toward the Elden Throne.
The Story Spotlight trailer sets up the game’s broken kingdom, the call of grace, and the danger waiting across its ruins.
Shadow of the Erdtree Included
The Tarnished Edition includes Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion that adds the Realm of Shadow and a new chapter tied to the original game’s story.
Players will be able to play through the full Elden Ring package on Switch 2 when the edition launches later this month.
New Content Added
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition also includes two new Starting Classes, new character armor, and the ability to customize Torrent.
Bandai Namco says this new content will also be sold separately for Elden Ring on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Pre-Orders Available Now
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is available to pre-order now on Nintendo Switch 2.
The game launches August 28.
