Nis America has announced Astonishia Story, an updated version of the classic Korean RPG, during PAX West 2026.
The game launches February 11, 2027, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
Lloyd’s Quest Begins Again
Astonishia Story follows Lloyd von Reuental as he tries to recover a stolen relic and restore his honor.
His mission pulls him into a larger conflict involving prejudice, manipulation, duty, and an Elven Queen seeking the power of an ancient god.
Grid-Based Battles Return
Combat uses grid-based tactical battles where positioning matters.
Players can move units across the battlefield, use powerful abilities, and build a party suited for each fight.
Mercenaries and Party Building
Astonishia Story also includes optional mercenaries who can join Lloyd’s party.
Each character brings a different skill set, giving players more ways to adapt their lineup as battles grow tougher.
Updated for Modern Platforms
This version features updated visuals, higher resolutions, and refined mechanics for current platforms.
Console versions will support English, while the PC version will support English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Special Edition Planned
Nis America will also offer an Astonishia Story Special Edition.
The package includes the original soundtrack, Astonishing Sights Card Set, and an acrylic keychain. Special Edition item names and artwork may change before launch.
