Knights Peak and Windup Games have released a new Hela: of Mice & Magic Deep Dive focused on Brewing, one of the main progression systems players will use when the game launches December 1, 2026.
Brewing lets players combine ingredients at the witch’s cottage to create remedies, improve abilities, solve puzzles, and gain access to additional areas.
Gather Ingredients and Brew Remedies
Players take control of a small mouse helping a witch care for the land she has protected for generations.
Trips through forests, meadows, wetlands, and burrows provide ingredients and other resources to bring back to the witch’s cottage.
There, players can use a recipe book to combine materials and create different brews.
Some mixtures help local characters and creatures, while others improve the mouse’s abilities or produce special tools called Remedies.
Remedies Change How You Approach Obstacles
Each Remedy provides another way to interact with environments and solve problems.
New tools can open new routes, help overcome obstacles, and offer different puzzle solutions.
This makes Brewing central to progression, with each trip giving players chances to gather materials before returning with new abilities.
Play Alone or With Others
Hela: of Mice & Magic can be played solo or cooperatively.
The mouse also carries a magical backpack provided by the witch, giving players additional movement and interaction options as they move through each area.
The game combines traversal, puzzle-solving, crafting, and helping the creatures living around the witch’s home.
