NIS America has revealed The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster, a hand-drawn storybook adventure coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
The game comes from the developers of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero.
A Fairytale With Teeth
The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster takes place in a hand-drawn fairytale setting where a magical disease called Paper Mortis turns people into picture books.
Those books can then become monsters, giving the story its darker edge.
Mono Searches for Her Sister
Players follow Mono, a young girl trying to save her sister after she contracts Paper Mortis.
To reach her, Mono must work with Mär, a monster driven by revenge, and make her way through the Libratarium where her sister is being kept.
Storybooks, Puzzles, and Bosses
The adventure sends players into different storybooks tied to the girls who became them.
Inside, Mono will solve puzzles, fight bosses, and piece together the tales behind each book as she gets closer to her sister.
Coming to Consoles and PC
The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
A release date has not been announced.
