Goeland: Seagull Adventure has released a new Steam demo, letting you test your abilities as a helpful neighbor or a feathered public nuisance. Montreal-based developer Maarti Games plans to release the full sandbox adventure on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in Q4 2026.
The announcement comes with an unusual promotional effort: developer Bryan Martinet took to Montreal’s streets wearing a seagull mask. His PR agency has also dubbed the occasion Steam “Nest” Fest—a bird pun, rather than an official Steam event.
Help the Townsfolk—or Steal Their Lunch
You play as a seagull that has escaped from the vet and gained the freedom to roam an island. What you do with that freedom is up to you.
Helpful activities include finding missing items, returning escaped balloons, and delivering parcels. Alternatively, you can fight over hotdogs and leave beachgoers some unwanted droppings.
Maarti Games cites Untitled Goose Game and Just Crow Things as comparisons, with a reactive crowd system supporting the island’s unpredictable encounters. Other activities include a decidedly unpleasant version of tic-tac-toe.
An Island Mystery Beneath the Mischief
Beyond bothering the locals, Goeland: Seagull Adventure lets you investigate island secrets and the pollution affecting its environment.
The Steam demo is available now. Wishlist the full game on Steam or the Epic Games Store ahead of its planned Q4 2026 release.
