007 First Light has released a Free Starter Pack on PC via Steam and Xbox Series X|S, letting players complete the opening Iceland mission at no cost. IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios also confirmed that the pack will reach PlayStation on November 10.
Progress carries into the full game if you purchase it, so you can continue from where the free experience ends. The announcement includes platform-specific discounts of up to 50%.
Play the Iceland Mission for Free
The Starter Pack introduces the game’s younger James Bond through his entire opening mission in Iceland. It offers a defined section of the adventure, giving you a chance to try the game before deciding to buy it.
Steam and Xbox Series X|S players can access the pack now. PlayStation players will receive the same Starter Pack on November 10, rather than alongside the initial PC and Xbox release.
Separately, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can access a one-hour timed trial. Progress from that trial also carries over to the full game upon purchase. The trial and Starter Pack are distinct offers: one limits play by time, while the other provides the opening mission.
Discounts Run on Different Dates by Platform
The accompanying sale varies depending on where you play:
- Steam: 40% off from November 5–9.
- Xbox Series X|S: 40% off from November 5–15.
- PlayStation 5: 50% off from November 5–30.
Those windows give players different amounts of time to try the free content before the corresponding promotion ends. On PS5, the Starter Pack’s November 10 arrival still leaves time to sample the Iceland mission during the announced sale.
