Fireshine Games and Emberstorm Entertainment have announced that REKA will leave Early Access and launch as version 1.0 on PC via Steam on August 18.
The news was revealed during The MIX Summer Game Showcase, with a new trailer showcasing more of the game’s witchy world, a moving cottage, and final story content.
Baba Jaga’s Secrets Come to Light
REKA follows a young witch learning the mystic arts under the guidance of Baba Jaga. Players create their own version of Reka, explore forests, gather ingredients, take on quests, and decide how to use their growing power.
The 1.0 release will bring the emotional conclusion to Reka’s story, including the truth behind Baba Jaga’s dark secret.
Build Your Chicken-Legged Cottage
REKA’s 1.0 launch will also expand the range of house customization options. Players will be able to build with five new materials: birch, spruce, beech, pine, and clay.
The update also adds angled building options and a free-moving camera to make cottage customization easier.
New Features and Localization
The full launch includes a complete UI overhaul, new achievements, quality-of-life improvements, and new Simplified Chinese and Japanese localization from co-publisher Shochiku Games for China and Japan.
