Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Resonant will launch worldwide on September 24, 2026, during Sony’s State of Play presentation. The sequel to 2019’s Control places Dylan Faden in the lead role as a new supernatural crisis threatens reality itself.
Pre-orders are now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Remedy is self-publishing the game, with Annapurna Pictures serving as co-financing and co-production partner.
Dylan Faden Steps Into the Spotlight
The newly released story trailer focuses on Dylan Faden, played by Sean Durrie, as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control into the center of a growing paranormal disaster. A new form of resonance has emerged alongside familiar threats such as the Hiss and the Mold, distorting Manhattan and reshaping reality itself.
With FBC Director Jesse Faden missing, Dylan finds himself forced into a role he never expected. According to Remedy, the story explores themes of identity, power, sacrifice, and humanity as Dylan struggles with his past while attempting to save what remains of the world.
Joining Dylan are new ally Zoe de Vera and returning Control characters Simon Arish and Emily Pope.
Remedy’s Biggest Game Yet
Remedy describes Control Resonant as its most expansive project to date. The sequel expands on the supernatural action and reality-bending storytelling of the original while introducing new narrative twists and gameplay systems.
The studio also confirmed that Control Resonant will be its most localized game ever, featuring full voice-over support in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. Additional subtitle and interface support will be available across several other languages.
The game will launch with GeForce Now support, while Mac versions through Steam and the App Store are planned for later this year.
