Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave got a flashy new trailer during this morning’s Nintendo Direct presentation, which went deeper into the main characters of the game and its forthcoming release date.

The four primary protagonists of the game are as follows:

  • Cai – A kind-hearted young boy with blue hair who hails from Ribeira Village. He is determined to save his imprisoned father
  • Dietrich – An elegant and battle-ready swordsman that is always hunting for a more powerful foe to fight.
  • Theodora – The powerful Queen of Saramis who wants nothing more than to fulfill her land’s “long-held dream.”
  • Leda – A musician who seeks vengeance above all else.

As it the month weren’t packed enough, it was revealed that Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is another title that’s set to arrive in September — more specifically, on September 17. Pre-orders are set to go live on the Nintendo eShop later today.

Where does Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave take place?

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is set in the Dagdan Empire. If the name sounds familiar to you, it may be because this area was already mentioned in 2019’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In that title, the character of Shamir — one of the Knights of Seiros — was originally from Dagda. This will be the first time that players are able to see the place for themselves.
