Nexon has shared new details for the upcoming Steam Next Fest demo of Embers of the Uncrowned, its dark fantasy MMORPG built around fast isometric combat and bloody action.
The demo will be playable during Steam Next Fest from June 15-22 PDT, with PC pre-download opening early on June 13 at 6:00 PM PDT through Steam.
A Large Demo With Hours of Content
The Steam Next Fest build will include at least 180 minutes of gameplay for players focusing on the main quests.
For those looking to push deeper into progression, Nexon says the demo includes more than 480 minutes of total content, with three main story chapters and 34 side quests.
Bosses, Regions, and Multiplayer
Players will be able to explore and liberate three main regions: Goldenhaven, Amber Coast, and Towerstead.
The demo includes 10 regions available for liberation and exploration, along with a large lineup of boss encounters:
- 4 Domain Bosses
- 8 Field Bosses
- 4 Defense of the Spring Bosses
- 1 Raid Boss
- 1 Quest Boss in Goldenhaven
- 2 Domain Bosses and 4 Field Bosses in Amber Coast
- 2 Domain Bosses and 4 Field Bosses in Towerstead
Multiplayer content will include field-based activities such as Domain Bosses and Defense of the Spring, as well as matchmaking options for Raids and Arena battles.
Classes and Character Progression
The demo features three playable classes: Stormbringer, Executioner, and Spectral Blade.
Each class includes 28-29 skills with active and passive progression systems. Players can also explore companion systems centered around Eslyn, who has 17 companion skills and affinity-based exclusive questlines.
Customization options include 12 costume sets, 49 total costume pieces, and 19 mounts.
Housing and Region Systems
Embers of the Uncrowned will also include base-building and progression systems in the demo.
Players can construct and manage seven different buildings tied to enhancement, research, trade, and crafting. Facilities can be upgraded to level 4-5, while region liberation and resource management create more progression paths.
Cloud Gaming Support
Alongside the Steam Next Fest demo, Embers of the Uncrowned is preparing support for cloud gaming platforms, including Nvidia GeForce Now and Boosteroid.
Nexon has also released a new cinematic trailer ahead of the demo’s launch.
