Capcom shared new Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection content during Capcom Spotlight, revealing the new Additional Side Story: Rudy DLC alongside a free update aimed at players looking for a bigger challenge.
The paid side story is available now for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $9.99. Players who own the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe Editions already have access to the DLC.
Rudy Gets His Own Side Story
Additional Side Story: Rudy focuses on the origins of the Royal Felyne and his ancestors. The story follows Rudy after he gets pulled into a strange situation that brings him face-to-face with Navirou, the legendary Felyne from the original Monster Hunter Stories.
The DLC also includes an encounter with Nergigante, giving the new side story a major Elder Dragon threat alongside its Felyne-focused setup.
Royal Monsters Arrive in a Free Update
Capcom also released a free Monster Hunter Stories 3 update alongside the Rudy DLC. The update adds a higher difficulty version of the Final Battle for players with completed save data.
Clearing the Final Battle on Hard unlocks Royal Monster versions of nearly every creature in the game. That includes Invasive Monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons, giving experienced Riders a new reason to return after finishing the main story.
