Verde Announced as a Cozy Magical Garden City Builder

Assemble Entertainment and Jakarta-based Antimeta Studio have announced Verde, a cozy city-building game about restoring abandoned magical gardens and turning them into peaceful green communities.

The game skips stressful micromanagement in favor of gentle resource systems, creative building, and handcrafted visuals.

Restore Forgotten Gardens

In Verde, players take on the role of a student at the Mage Academy who joins its struggling Gardening Club. Their task is to bring abandoned settlements back to life through magic, care, and smart planning.

The game centers on building livable spaces, shaping gardens, and helping each area grow without putting too much pressure on the player.

Meet the Seedlets

Players will care for Seedlets, small enchanted plant creatures that live in the gardens. By building homes, meeting their needs, and shaping the right environment, players can help them settle in.

Seedlets will wander through the garden, interact with buildings and each other, and produce resources that help the settlement expand.

A Softer Take on City Building

Verde includes three biomes, each with new buildings, mechanics, and environmental challenges. Players can also customize structures with interchangeable architectural parts and color options.

The game will feature a story-driven campaign and a replayable Sandbox Mode, giving players room to build at their own pace.

Antimeta Studio first developed Verde from an award-winning competition prototype before expanding it into a full commercial release. The team cites cozy management games like Gourdlets, Minami Lane, and Town to City as good reference points for its relaxed approach.

Verde is available to wishlist now on Steam.
