Deep Silver and King Art Games have released a new Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV CGI narrative trailer, this time focused on the Necrons and their return to Kronus.
The trailer is the third of four in-game cinematic faction trailers planned for Dawn of War IV, with each one centered on one of the strategy game’s playable factions.
The Necrons Awaken
The new trailer follows the Szerkhan Dynasty as the Necrons rise after a 60-million-year slumber.
Once the rulers of Kronus, the Necrons have sacrificed their mortal bodies for mechanical supremacy. Now, they have returned to reclaim the planet from the factions fighting across its surface.
Thothmek Watches From Orbit
The trailer opens with Thothmek, a Necron Chronomancer, observing the war on Kronus from orbit as Space Marines and Orks clash below.
Thothmek views the conflict with disdain, angered by the desecration of the Necron tombs. From there, he begins waking the dynasty’s military force, including Lych Guards and living metal armies.
The trailer closes with a massive Necron fleet above Kronus, ready to descend under Thothmek’s command.
