Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has released its fourth and final faction deep dive, focusing on the playable Blood Ravens and Dark Angels chapters. Publisher Deep Silver and developer King Art Games show how each approaches the battle for Kronus ahead of the strategy game’s December 3, 2026, PC launch.
Space Marines combine steady expansion with powerful shock assaults. Their elite units field fewer troops than opposing xenos hordes, so positioning and tactical flexibility are key to maintaining the advantage.
Blood Ravens Favor Stealth, Dark Angels Bring Firepower
The Blood Ravens emphasize reconnaissance, infiltration, and precision. Operating behind enemy lines lets them gather intelligence and exploit weaknesses before committing to an attack.
The Dark Angels take a more direct approach, sending heavily armored formations into head-on assaults backed by concentrated firepower.
Cyrus and Astoran Lead the Two Chapters
Captain Cyrus commands the Blood Ravens with stealth, marksmanship, and well-timed air strikes.
Company Master Astoran leads the Dark Angels from the front, relying on Terminator armor to withstand the fighting.
The faction’s wider arsenal includes Drop Pods and Orbital Bombardments, letting you reinforce an assault and strike enemy positions from above.
December Launch and Year One Content
Dawn of War IV launches December 3 on PC. Commander Edition owners can start playing November 30 through three days of early access. Both editions currently offer a 10% preorder discount.
Year One plans include free updates that bring back Crusade Mode, plus new maps, modes, Commanders, and a Mission Editor. Two major story expansions will continue the conflict on Kronus and introduce a new playable faction.
