Messhof has announced that Blood Dungeon will launch August 25 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The self-published action roguelike comes from the studio behind Nidhogg and Wheel World, with a focus on fast movement, platforming, and surviving rooms packed with monsters.
A Bullet Heaven Platformer
Blood Dungeon blends bullet-heaven survival with platforming. Players run, jump, climb, and scramble across ladders, grates, chains, walls, ceilings, and water to avoid enemy swarms.
The dungeons include more than 100 enemy types, from bats and centaurs to exploding eyeballs. Some fly through walls, while others walk, stick, or bounce across surfaces.
Build With Blood
Players harvest blood from enemies to raise their blood level and upgrade their build. Hidden chests also offer weapons and upgrades across each arena.
Permanent upgrades come through the Dogmancer, who asks players to pay the bone toll before boosting future runs.
Characters, Arenas, and Quests
Blood Dungeon includes nine unlockable bunkmates, each with their own weapon and movement perks. Leggy can spin climbable webs, Bug can fly, and Skinja brings speed to the dungeon.
The game also features six unlockable survival arenas, more than 100 quests, over 100 weapons and upgrades, and a dungeon dnb soundtrack by Thomas Hooey.
