Frogwares has released a 12-minute gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2, giving players a longer look at its Lovecraftian survival horror before the game launches on August 18 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The footage takes place in Arkham Fish Market, a flooded waterfront area now filled with abandoned ships, empty storefronts, silent workshops, unstable survivors, and Eldritch creatures.
Arkham Fish Market Takes the Spotlight
The Arkham Fish Market was once a busy hub for merchants, fishermen, dockworkers, and travelers. In The Sinking City 2, it has become another rotten piece of the evacuated city.
The trailer shows Calvin Rafferty moving through flooded paths, dark market corridors, and ruined work areas as monsters stalk the walkways. The setting gives players a clearer sense of how Arkham’s flood has changed daily places into hostile survival zones.
Stronger Weapons and Deadlier Enemies
The new gameplay also shows more of Calvin’s combat options.
Players get a look at advanced weapons and tougher encounters, with larger, less predictable enemies pushing the survival-horror side harder. Resource management still appears central, with players needing to weigh what they carry and how they handle each fight.
New Game+ Confirmed for Launch
Frogwares also confirmed that The Sinking City 2 will include New Game+ at launch.
Players can carry over perk points, perks, and items when starting again, giving them better tools for tougher challenges. New Game+ will also include achievements, cosmetic rewards, and gameplay rewards.
HDR Update Coming After Launch
The team also confirmed that HDR support will be available via a free post-launch patch.
Frogwares said it is focusing on finishing the core game and launch features first, with HDR planned to follow soon after release.
