Odd Bug Studio and United Label have released Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter – Blood and Brine, a free post-game expansion available now across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The update adds a new coastal area, 11 quests, 10 bosses, fishing, nine armor sets, new music, and crossover gear inspired by several indie games.
Indie Heroes Join the Ratdom
Blood and Brine adds crossover armor sets based on Blasphemous, Cult of the Lamb, Dave the Diver, Death’s Door, Moonlighter, and Beyond Galaxyland.
That means Arlo can wear gear inspired by The Penitent One, The Lamb, Dave, The Crow, Will, and Boom Boom, all redrawn in Odd Bug Studio’s hand-drawn style.
A New Post-Game Questline
The expansion takes players to Hardshell Brook, a coastal area where sailors Jaimie and Sam ask Arlo for help after their ship gets destroyed.
Their plan is strange but simple: build an aquarium, attract visitors, and raise enough money to fix the ship. To pull it off, Arlo needs to fish in dangerous waters and collect odd aquatic creatures.
As the aquarium grows, the story starts poking holes in the sailors’ version of what happened at sea.
Fishing, Bosses, and New Music
Blood and Brine includes a new fishing mechanic, 10 bosses, 11 quests, nine armor sets, and new original music.
Doug Cockle also returns as the narrator, continuing his role in the Tails of Iron series.
Free Expansion Available Now

Players need to complete the main campaign before starting the new expansion.
