Shochiku Games and Crossbridge Game Studios have announced that Moomin: Midsummer Madness will launch on November 12, 2026 for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The point-and-click adventure will cost $19.99.
Moominvalley Faces a Flood
Moomin: Midsummer Madness takes inspiration from Tove Jansson’s 1954 fantasy novel Moominsummer Madness.
After a great flood submerges Moominvalley, Moomintroll and Little My board a mysterious floating theatre as they try to find their way home.
Light Puzzles and Character Swapping
Players will solve light point-and-click puzzles through dialogue, exploration, and mini-games.
The game also lets players swap between characters and use their different traits to move through the story. A hint system will be included, making the adventure approachable for players of different ages.
Hand-Drawn Moomin Art
Moomin: Midsummer Madness uses hand-drawn art inspired by Jansson’s original illustrations.
The game will include familiar scenes from Moominsummer Madness alongside new story moments, with locations such as the Moominhouse and the floating theatre brought to life in that style.
Gamescom Demo Planned
A one-day demo will be playable at gamescom on August 27 only.
Attendees can try Moomin: Midsummer Madness in Hall 10.1 at booth F63 and meet the Moomin mascot at the booth.
