Finji has announced that Usual June will launch on October 28, 2026, on PC and Mac via Steam.
A new demo is available now, and Finji also released a new trailer during the Awesome Indies Showcase powered by IGN at Gamescom.
Ghosts, Monsters, and a Citywide Mystery
Usual June is a third-person action-adventure game about June, monsters, ghosts, and a mystery threatening to destroy Fen Harbor.
Players will explore secret labs, buried tunnels, haunted observatories, abandoned train stations, and a strange dimension while piecing together what is happening before time runs out.
Fast Combat With Custom Loadouts
Combat gives June access to dashes, dodges, parries, super moves, and loadout customization.
Players can equip items to change June’s fighting style, gain XP, level up, and open new powers. Finji notes that those powers come with a cost, adding another layer to progression.
The Living and Dead Work Together
The story features a cast of 25 characters.
Players will speak with the living and the dead, using ghosts’ photographic memories and the living characters’ ability to interact with physical objects to solve the larger threat facing Fen Harbor.
Finji’s In-House Team Leads Development
Finji’s internal team is developing Usual June, led by Creative Director Adam Saltsman, known for Overland and Canabalt.
The game is also produced with writer David Pinckney, BAFTA-winning writer Cara Ellison, and BAFTA-winning audio director Adam Hay.
