Brigada Games and Devolver Digital have announced Quarantine Zone: Miami Zero, a major free expansion for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check launching October 15 on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Miami Zero moves the zombie checkpoint simulator to Florida during the early days of the outbreak, adding a new cast, evolving infections, additional tools, and a plan to escape aboard a damaged luxury yacht.
Head to Ground Zero in Miami
Miami Zero takes players back to where the outbreak began.
Players will run a hastily built checkpoint, examine survivors for signs of infection, and learn more about how the virus started.
The expansion introduces new symptoms and mutations as the infection continues changing throughout the story.
The expansion also offers a particularly Florida solution for dealing with infected suspects: feeding them to sharks.
Investigate the Infection
As players study new mutations, they will gather information about the source of the outbreak.
The expansion suggests more to the infection than a simple accident, with new characters and events gradually adding information to the larger mystery.
At the same time, players must keep the checkpoint operating as conditions across Miami deteriorate.
Repair a Yacht and Escape
Survival eventually depends on finding a way out of the city.
Players can recruit survivors who can help repair a damaged luxury yacht, turning it into a possible escape route.
New tools and challenges will complicate the checkpoint routine as the situation becomes increasingly unstable.

Devolver Digital says the expansion will be free for anyone who owns Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
The announcement also lists a $14.99 price alongside the October 15 release, though it does not clarify what that price applies to.
