Apple Crumble turns grandma’s birthday party into a murder mystery on December 3, 2026. Duck Detective developer Happy Broccoli Games has announced the Steam release date, along with a new trailer and a playable demo available now.
The fully voiced interactive thriller is coming to Windows, Mac, and Linux, with an estimated playtime of 60 to 90 minutes.
Someone at Grandma’s Party Wants Her Dead
It’s your grandmother’s 84th birthday, and one of her guests intends to kill her. You’ll explore your childhood home, reconnect with your dysfunctional family, and work out who you can trust before tea.
The suspect list includes your stressed-out mother, an uncle facing a midlife crisis, and a strange man occupying your bedroom. Grandma and your own character round out the voiced cast.
Happy Broccoli Games cites Mouthwashing and Knives Out as inspirations for the short thriller, which combines walking-sim exploration with a twisting mystery.
Try the Demo Before December’s Release
The Berlin-based studio is best known for the Duck Detective series. Apple Crumble takes that interest in mysteries to a more threatening family gathering, with a fully voice-acted cast.
The demo is available now on Steam. Apple Crumble launches December 3 on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
