Nyra and the Garden of Moros Reveals Giant-Climbing Adventure for PC

Nyra and the Garden of Moros has revealed its first extended gameplay trailer, introducing an open-world action-adventure about climbing corrupted giants and deciding their fate. Solo developer Resting Relic presented the footage at The Mix Fall Showcase, and the game is currently in development for PC via Steam.

You play as Nyra, whose search for a cure to a spreading curse leads her into the ruins of the Old Empire. Accompanied by her wolf, Rama, she learns that the prison holding Moros, an ancient god of doom, has been broken.

Climb the Keepers and Recover Twelve Seals

Twelve magical seals once contained Moros, each protected by a gigantic Keeper. With the prison open and its key shattered, corruption has begun turning those guardians against Nyra.

You’ll cross forests, plains, and ruined halls to find the Keepers’ hidden domains, then scale their enormous bodies to recover the seals needed to contain Moros again.

The new trailer also highlights Nyra’s bond with Rama and the remnants of the civilization surrounding them.

Destroy the Giants—or Take the Harder Path to Save Them

Defeating a Keeper offers a direct way to reclaim its seal. But Nyra can instead attempt to cleanse the corruption and preserve the creature.

Resting Relic describes saving the Keepers as the harder route, one that requires sacrifice. The developer says your decisions will have consequences throughout the setting, though the announcement does not detail how those outcomes work.

A Personal Inspiration Behind Nyra and Rama

Resting Relic developer Joe Winter based Rama on his late husky, Strider, whose loss helped inspire the project. Nyra draws inspiration from Winter’s wife, particularly her strength and compassion.

Nyra and the Garden of Moros is in development for PC, with no release window announced.
