Warding Witches Out Now on PC With Shield-Based Bullet Hell and Local Co-op

Warding Witches is available now on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developer Sonorode and publisher Headup released the witch-themed shoot-’em-up on October 19, 2026, combining bullet-hell combat with defensive magic and local co-op.

You’ll choose from different witches and balance attacking, dodging, and shielding through waves of enemies.

Defensive Magic Replaces Bombs

Instead of relying on bombs, Warding Witches gives you shields and other defensive options to suit your approach.

Its scoring system adds another consideration. Risk-reward mechanics build a bonus meter, with strong scoring affecting your powers and survivability.

The team describes the controls and mechanics as approachable for newcomers while giving experienced players room to develop their skills over repeated runs.

Local Co-op, Pixel Art, and Extra Lore

Local co-op lets you bring another player into the action. Handcrafted pixel art accompanies a fantasy soundtrack by Sonorode.

Progress also opens extra modes containing illustrated artwork and additional lore.

Warding Witches is out now on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
