New Resident Evil game for the Wii

The latest issue of Japanese video game magazine Famitsu revealed the title of the rumored Wii exclusive Resident Evil game. Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles may sound like Resident Evil meeting Star Wars, but it is actually a rail-shooter like Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.

Ever since Umbrella Chronicles has been released, people have been speculating why Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica were left out of the game. The suspicions of there being a sequel are finally confirmed with The Darkside Chronicles, as the first screenshot of the game shows the classic scenes of Resident Evil 2 with brand new graphics.

As of now we do not know any details, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to know more about the contents. For now the only confirmed details is that Resident Evil 2 will be featured in it, however there’s a good chance of other Resident Evil games and brand new scenarios being included. Details are supposedly being released tomorrow, March 12th, so be on the lookout for more news on the subject.
