Star Wars: The Old Republic is going big this summer. BioWare has revealed full details for Game Update 7.7, titled “Dynamic Worlds,” during a livestream, showing off a galaxy’s worth of new content, including seven new Dynamic Encounter planets, Master Mode for Relentless Replication, PvP Season 8, and Andor-inspired cosmetics. The update is targeting a late May or early June release window.
Dynamic Encounters Expand Across the Galaxy
Originally introduced in update 7.6, Dynamic Encounters offer galaxy-spanning micro-stories, pop-up combat scenarios, and exploration opportunities. Update 7.7 will expand these encounters to seven additional planets:
- Tython
- Korriban
- Hutta
- Ord Mantell
- Coruscant
- Dromund Kaas
- Ilum
Each world will feature themed rewards, like the Coruscant Fireworks Launcher and the Ilum Crystal Node, giving players even more incentive to revisit familiar locations.
Master Mode Arrives for Relentless Replication
Veterans looking for a challenge can now tackle Relentless Replication in Master Mode, SWTOR’s highest difficulty tier. Completing this content unlocks progress toward Legendary Augments, which can also be earned via PvP Weekly Missions and Veteran Mode content.
Gear Up Like Andor with New Cartel Market Additions
New cosmetics inspired by Andor™ will arrive in the Cartel Market, including:
- Guerrilla Commander’s Armor Set
- Imperial Director’s Armor Set
Players can also pick up the Manaan Mini-Sub Mount and a Nar Shaddaa Decoration Bundle, which includes rare and previously hard-to-find Stronghold decorations.
PvP Season 8 “Champions of the Wild” Begins
PvP Season 8 launches day-and-date with Game Update 7.7 and runs for 16 weeks. Expect:
- New titles and decorations
- Armor sets for both light and dark side warriors
- A fresh batch of seasonal rewards
Seasonal Nightlife Returns to Nar Shaddaa
From July 8 to August 19, the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Event makes its comeback, letting players gamble for prizes including:
- Smuggler’s Trained Vine Cat
- Fiery Grefna Mount
- Supernova Helmet
It’s the perfect time to turn credits into collectibles.
New ‘Eras Window’ Adds Story Context
New and returning players can now use the Eras Window, a streamlined interface that tracks story progress, offering a recap of completed arcs and a guide to what’s next in the saga. It’s a welcome QoL update that makes SWTOR’s massive narrative more digestible.
