Contrary to popular belief, Sandfall Interactive isn’t the first French game development studio in existence. No, some of these studios have been around for quite a while, notably, DON’T NOD. Developers of the original Life is Strange and most recently Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, DON’T NOD have also been publishing smaller indie titles for quite a while. Announced today was the demo and gameplay trailer for their latest publishing project by developers Tiny Bull Studios, The Lonesome Guild.
The Lonesome Guild is a single-player top-down Action-RPG. Boasting both puzzle-solving and exploration as cornerstones of the gameplay, The Lonesome Guild is looking to fight loneliness, together! The trailer and demo were released today at AG French Direct 2025. The Lonesome Guild takes place in a world shrouded by loneliness. I think the idea of shrouding a world of adorable creatures in loneliness and asking you to fix it is Sarah McLachlan levels of devious.
Players will embody a ghost who wakes up to find they hold no memories and go on to create their own lonesome guild of adventurers. The demo will allow players to recruit the first two of six available friends. Each friend has their own story, motive, and abilities. Allowing players to switch between the characters on the fly to fight enemies, solve ancient puzzles, and encounter the game’s first boss.

As a creeping mist spreads, corrupting all in its path, you must gather a ragtag party of six misfits, each with unique abilities, stories, and struggles. Seamlessly switch between them in battle and exploration, forging bonds that unlock powerful combos and heartfelt moments by the campfire. Enjoy dynamic combat, puzzle-solving, and a world brimming with secrets.
