C. Viper and Sagat Lead Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 Evo Announcements

Capcom made a splash at Evo 2025, announcing the return of C. Viper to the Street Fighter 6 roster, confirming Sagat’s arrival on August 5, and unveiling a swimsuit-themed Outfit 4 set for seven characters. The company also shared new details on Capcom Fighting Collection 2, arriving later this week.

C. Viper Joins the Fight in Year 3

The second character of Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 lineup, undercover agent C. Viper, made her dramatic return in a new teaser trailer. The clip shows her analyzing a holographic M. Bison, hinting at her mission to stop the villain’s latest scheme. She’ll join the roster later in the Year 3 cycle after Sagat’s debut.

Sagat Enters the Ring August 5

The Emperor of Muay Thai is the first Year 3 fighter to arrive, bringing his trademark Tiger Shots, crushing knees, and intimidating reach to Street Fighter 6. Sagat’s launch includes:

  • New Stage: Proud Spire
  • Outfit 1: New design
  • Outfit 2: Classic Street Fighter II-inspired look

Sagat will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with early access for Year 3 pass holders.

Year 3 Character Roadmap

The Year 3 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass include:

  1. Sagat – August 5, 2025
  2. C. Viper – Late 2025
  3. Alex – Early Spring 2026
  4. Ingrid – Late Spring 2026

Outfit 4 – Swimsuit Style

Launching alongside Sagat, Outfit 4 delivers beach-ready looks for Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I.. The gameplay trailer shows each fighter sporting their summer style in matches.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Update Drops August 7

During the Capcom vs. SNK 2 tournament, Capcom revealed new features coming to Capcom Fighting Collection 2:

  • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER: Four new characters, including Ingrid, new artwork, and Mode Select in EX settings
  • Plasma Sword: Training mode plasma combo display
  • Gallery Additions: Fresh artwork for multiple titles
  • Bonus Soundtracks: Extra tracks for Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Power Stone
  • Music Drop: 100+ original soundtracks from both Capcom Fighting Collection titles available on digital platforms

Evo 2025 also crowned its champions: MenaRD in Street Fighter 6, Khaos in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Bas in Capcom vs. SNK 2.
