inZOI Island Getaway DLC Adds Tropical Map & New Features August 20

Krafton has announced that inZOI’s first free DLC, Island Getaway, will release globally on August 20—just in time for gamescom 2025. The update introduces Cahaya, a vibrant tropical destination split across a lush main island and a resort island. Inspired by Southeast Asia, Cahaya blends natural beauty with laid-back city living, offering new activities like swimming, boating, and snorkeling. Players can also outfit their Zois in tropical-themed clothing, hairstyles, and décor to match the vacation vibe.

New Features Coming to All Maps

Island Getaway isn’t just about a new map. Krafton is adding new gameplay systems across the entire inZOI experience:

  • Lifestyle Activities: Farming, mining, gem crafting, and fishing
  • Rideable Vehicles: Motorcycles and electric scooters
  • Expanded Social Interactions: Random gatherings, thought bubbles, and cooperative actions for richer emergent storytelling

The DLC will also bring over 90 new music tracks, early gamepad support (testing phase), and UI/UX refinements for smoother gameplay.

Mac Version Launching Same Day

Alongside Island Getaway, inZOI will debut on Mac via the Mac App Store and Steam. Optimized for Apple silicon, the game supports MetalFX Upscaling, HDR, and hardware-accelerated ray tracing on M3 and M4 chips. The Mac version requires at least an M2 chip and 16GB of unified memory.

Gamescom Debut & Community Livestream

Island Getaway will be showcased at gamescom 2025 from August 20–24 in Cologne, Germany.

  • A new trailer will premiere during Opening Night Live on August 19
  • Attendees can go hands-on with the DLC at Krafton’s booth
  • In-game events, influencer challenges, and a dedicated DLC hub are planned

Ahead of launch, inZOI@Cahaya—a community livestream—will air on August 14 at 6:00 PM PT on YouTube and Twitch, featuring new gameplay, developer commentary, and live Q&A from fan-submitted questions.
