From Devs to Actors: The Guild – Europa 1410 Live-Action Trailer Revealed

Ashborne Games is taking a cinematic approach to the announcement of The Guild – Europa 1410, and they’ve done it in a way that might surprise fans: by stepping in front of the camera themselves. In collaboration with the production team at Gnomon, the developers traded their keyboards for armor to star in a live-action short film that brings the series’ themes of power, politics, and legacy into focus.

The result is an announcement trailer that doesn’t just tease gameplay, it immerses you in the medieval world of The Guild, with nobles, thieves, executions, and even a raven making appearances.

A Return to the Roots of The Guild

The Guild – Europa 1410 brings the long-running series back to its origins, drawing inspiration from the original Europa 1400: The Guild. Players begin with a modest business and face the challenge of turning it into a dynasty that can withstand generations of political intrigue, economic ambition, and social maneuvering.

As in previous entries, players can choose their path: pursue honest trade and production, climb the political ladder with diplomacy, or take a darker route through theft, blackmail, and sabotage. Every decision shapes not just your business, but your family’s long-term influence in a living, breathing city.

Craft, Trade, or Scheme Your Way to Power

The upcoming game features a wide variety of professions, from blacksmiths to alchemists, each offering a unique path to power. But if legitimate trade feels too slow, players can instead dip into crime, sending thieves to pick pockets, rob carts, or even kidnap rivals for ransom. On the other side of the law, you might rise to power by enforcing order with guardsmen and gaining the respect of honest citizens.

Politics remains a core pillar of the experience. Securing offices through elections, bribes, or blackmail opens new ways to dominate rivals. Every shady action carries risk; however, evidence can come back to haunt you in court.

Building Dynasties, Alone or With Rivals

With support for up to 12 players in multiplayer, The Guild – Europa 1410 gives fans the chance to outmaneuver friends and foes alike. Compete or collaborate as you expand your family’s influence, sabotage rival businesses, or drag your opponents to court. No two sessions will ever play out the same way.

The game also boasts state-of-the-art graphics that bring its medieval world to life. Bustling marketplaces, detailed town halls, and shifting districts all reflect the player’s growing power and the evolution of their city.

Lights, Camera, Medieval Intrigue

While the trailer doesn’t show raw gameplay, it perfectly embodies the heart of The Guild, building a lasting legacy in a world where ambition, betrayal, and opportunity are around every corner. With Ashborne Games proving they can handle acting as well as development, the announcement sets the tone for what looks to be the studio’s most ambitious project yet.
