The update also introduces a new 3v3 ranked mode, fresh cosmetics and customizations, and a slew of gameplay improvements aimed at balancing and sharpening the competitive experience. To celebrate the launch, Sloclap is offering free trials on Xbox and Steam, along with a 20% discount for those looking to jump in.
Gameplay Improvements and Ranked Overhaul
Season 1 delivers several key balance changes and bug fixes, including:
- Improved locomotion for smoother and more precise player movement.
- Nerfs to exploits like the notorious “Ippy Slide.”
- Goalkeeper dive reworks, making them stronger against volleys.
- Stricter matchmaking rules for ranked play, ensuring more even matchups.
Looking ahead to October, the next patch will introduce league demotion and dynamic rank points, both designed to better reflect player skill. Later in Chapter 3, a brand-new game mode will debut, with more details promised soon.
