Capcom has revealed the details of Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3, arriving September 29. The highlight of this free update is a FINAL FANTASY XIV Online collaboration, where hunters will team up with visitors from Eorzea to battle the dimension-hopping Omega Planetes. This fight comes with unique mechanics inspired by Final Fantasy XIV, challenging hunting parties to rethink their usual strategies.
New Jobs: Dark Knight and Pictomancer
The crossover doesn’t stop at monsters; players can channel two iconic jobs from FFXIV:
- Dark Knight: Equip the Bale Armor α and activate the “Soul of the Dark Knight” series skill to unlock The Blackest Night ability. The “Shadowbringer” Great Sword also adds an exclusive weapon skill to your arsenal.
- Pictomancer: By using the “Soul of the Pictomancer” item, hunters can wield artistic magic, including abilities like Pom Motif, directly from their item pouch.
Additional rewards include new Palico and Seikret gear, as well as cosmetic extras such as pendants and gestures.
Arch-Tempered Nu Udra Joins the Hunt
Title Update 3 introduces Arch-tempered Nu Udra as a permanent Event Quest, bringing exclusive materials for powerful equipment upgrades. The update also features:
- Quests offering rarity 8 Artian materials
- A limited-time Seregios Challenge Quest
- An Arch-tempered Nu Udra Free Challenge Quest
Hunters can also claim four nostalgic gestures for free DLC, while Cosmetic DLC Pack 3 and other paid content will be available.
Festival of Accord and Title Update 4
Looking ahead, Capcom teased more content for the months to come:
- Festival of Accord: Dreamspell – launching this fall, transforming the Grand Hub with festive decorations, new Event Quests, and special rewards.
- Title Update 4 – coming December, which will unleash the formidable Gogmazios in the Forbidden Lands, along with additional end-game challenges.
