An ordinary office worker’s mundane routine takes a wild turn in Life Slash Death (LSD), the upcoming action RPG from indie studio Two Horn Unicorn. The team has released a brand-new gameplay trailer alongside a free playable demo on Steam, offering players a first look at its bizarre blend of fantasy and office-life satire.
An Office Drone in a World Gone Mad
In Life Slash Death, players take on the role of an ordinary office worker or “representative of office plankton,” as the developers describe them, who suddenly finds themselves transported to a chaotic, magical world. Gone are the spreadsheets and conference calls; instead, they’ll battle unicorns, wizards, sentient vegetables, and other oddball creatures across colorful, cartoon-inspired landscapes.
Desperate to return home, the protagonist must confront beings capable of opening portals between worlds. Unfortunately, these eccentric entities have their own agendas, and their unwillingness to help drags the hero into a sprawling conflict that threatens both realms.
Demo Details
The playable Steam demo lets players experience the first two locations of Life Slash Death, along with:
- A limited pool of combat skills to test out,
- A simplified feeding system,
- And an early loot table giving a taste of the game’s progression.
Two Horn Unicorn describes LSD as a tongue-in-cheek blend of action, role-playing, and parody, with an emphasis on fast-paced combat, comedic storytelling, and a lively cartoon aesthetic.
What’s Next
The team plans to expand on this early demo with more skills, deeper combat mechanics, and expanded world-building as Life Slash Death continues development. While no release window has been announced yet, the demo serves as a promising and delightfully weird introduction to Two Horn Unicorn’s first project.
