Rebel Wolves has released over 25 minutes of new gameplay footage from The Blood of Dawnwalker, the team’s upcoming dark fantasy RPG set in the 14th-century fictional land of Vale Sangora. The video, narrated by writer Ariana Siarkiewicz, gives players their first extended look at combat, exploration, and the haunting atmosphere of this vampire-infested world.
The footage focuses on Coen, a man cursed as a Dawnwalker, human by day, vampire by night, as he searches for his family, who have been taken by the vampiric lords ruling the region.
Updated Gameplay from Community Feedback
The new gameplay showcases several improvements based on community feedback since the game’s initial reveal:
- Refined combat flow with faster pacing and more impactful animations
- Adjusted camera angles for better visibility and cinematic tension
- Smoother transitions between exploration and battle
- Enhanced environmental lighting and detail powered by Unreal Engine 5
The showcase takes place around Svartrau Cathedral, where Coen faces both human enemies and supernatural creatures in dynamic encounters. Siarkiewicz also provides narrative context, hinting at the dark history behind the cathedral and Vale Sangora’s vampiric hierarchy.
