Mythwright and Brightrock Games have officially confirmed that Kaiju Cleanup, the upcoming monster-corpse-cleaning sim, will launch in 2026 with full online co-op support for 2–4 players. The feature has been the community’s top request since the game’s announcement in September, and the team says it will be available across the entire campaign at release.
Scrub the Streets Solo or With a Full Crew
Kaiju Cleanup lets players wade into the aftermath of massive monster attacks, carving up kaiju remains, scrubbing hazardous waste, and tidying up the devastation. At launch, the full game will be playable solo or with up to three additional cleaners through 2–4 player online co-op.
Whether you’re pairing up with one partner or rolling in as a chaotic four-person cleanup squad, the entire campaign is designed to support cooperative play. Players will need to work together to manage toxic hazards, slice through giant carcasses, and avoid turning their friends into accidental collateral damage because every “unalived” crewmate just adds more mess to mop up.
A Community Request Granted
“With over 130,000 Steam wishlists since the game’s announcement in September, we’ve been swept away by the level of excitement and support players have shown,” said Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright. “Co-op has been the most requested feature, and we’re thrilled to confirm Kaiju Cleanup will fully support 2–4 player co-op at launch.”
Developed by Brightrock Games (Galacticare, War for the Overworld), Kaiju Cleanup blends cozy simulation with grotesque yet charming monster remains, letting players methodically clean up city-spanning messes in the wake of kaiju battles.
