A new demo for MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme is available now on Steam, bringing the blasphemous tabletop RPG’s ink-soaked nightmare to life as a side-scrolling action RPG. Developed by the team behind The Textorcist, the game drops players into a collapsing world defined by decay, cruelty, and imminent annihilation.
Set in the grimdark universe of MÖRK BORG, the demo offers an early taste of its tone and systems, where survival is fleeting, and heroism is a lie.
A Cursed Awakening in Galgenbeck
Players awaken in Galgenbeck, a rotting city sprawled beneath a doomed cathedral, as the world teeters on the brink of apocalypse. The Two-headed Basilisks demand an offering to delay the end of all things, pushing players into a series of bleak quests across the demo’s available locations.
Rather than traditional heroes, players take on the role of Cursed Walkers, desperate antiheroes scraping through filth and violence, always seconds away from death. The demo includes three playable classes, each built around brutal abilities and punishing consequences.
Brutal Combat and Relentless Systems
MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme translates the tabletop game’s infamous visual identity into a side-scrolling, semi-procedural action RPG forged in stark contrasts, blood, and decay. Every screen feels hostile by design, reinforcing a sense that the world itself wants you dead.
Combat is fast, tactical, and unforgiving, demanding precise positioning, timing, and sacrifice. Progression is intentionally harsh, with catastrophic events and irreversible choices grinding players down as the apocalypse inches closer. There is no salvation here, only survival, or a quicker end.
A Faithful Adaptation of MÖRK BORG’s Tone
The demo serves as a concentrated introduction to what defines MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme: lean ARPG mechanics, oppressive atmosphere, and a world where every decision carries weight. Quests push players to confront the cruelty of the setting head-on, reinforcing the tabletop game’s philosophy that the end is inevitable; it’s only a matter of how long you last.
The MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme demo is available now on Steam for players ready to descend into darkness.
