A Journey Through Grief and Legacy

Players step into the role of Maya, a young woman grappling with the unexpected death of her father. Seeking solace and understanding, she journeys through a mystical realm shaped by culture, history, and memory.

Along the way, Maya encounters scholars inspired by real historical figures of the Islamic Golden Age, many of whom were her father’s former colleagues. Through meaningful conversations and reflective storytelling, players engage with themes of science, philosophy, healing, and personal growth. Each character offers insight not only into their disciplines, but also into their own experiences with grief and resilience.

Puzzle-Solving Through Transformation

Central to the gameplay is a remarkable heirloom device left behind by Maya’s father. This mysterious tool allows her to transmute matter within objects, forming the basis for thoughtful environmental puzzles that drive exploration and narrative progression.

Traversal through the larger-than-life realm blends quiet reflection with interactive problem-solving. As Maya advances, she must confront her deepest emotions, risking being consumed by grief if she cannot find a path forward.

The House of Hikmah is a nonviolent, evocative adventure that emphasizes hope and introspection. The full game is set to launch on PC via Steam in Q1 2026 and will feature English and Arabic voiceover, alongside French, Latin American Spanish, and Simplified Chinese text support.

Players can download the debut demo now on Steam to experience the opening chapter of Maya’s journey.
