Don’t Nod has revealed a brand-new gameplay trailer for Aphelion during the Convergence Showcase, offering players a five-minute deep dive into its upcoming third-person action-adventure.
Set to launch in Spring 2026, Aphelion promises a tense sci-fi journey to the far edge of the solar system.
A Closer Look at Persephone
The new footage highlights what awaits the protagonists, Ariane and Thomas, on the uncharted planet Persephone. Players get a glimpse of environmental anomalies, escalating dangers, and a mysterious abandoned facility filled with unsettling clues—including signs of violence.
The trailer also teases further encounters with the Nemesis, a hostile, unknown lifeform whose presence looms over the mission.
Survival on the Edge of the Solar System
In Aphelion, players step into the roles of ESA astronauts Ariane and Thomas as they explore and survey Persephone following a catastrophic crash. The duo must uncover the truth behind the incident while surviving against environmental hazards and the constant threat of the Nemesis.

Release Details
Aphelion launches in Spring 2026 on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The title will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be available day one on Game Pass. A retail edition for PlayStation 5 is already available for pre-order.
