Publisher 4Divinity and developer Leap Studio confirmed that Realm of Ink will launch in full on May 26, 2026. The console versions on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Nintendo Switch will release alongside the game’s V1.0 PC launch.
Currently in Steam Early Access with a “Very Positive” rating, the game has evolved through ongoing balance updates, seasonal events, and community feedback. All refinements will carry into the 1.0 build and console versions.
You play as Red, a swordswoman trapped inside a painted world. As she hunts the Fox Demon, she learns her life is scripted. Each run pushes her closer to breaking free, cutting through enemies and the narrative itself.
Fast Combat, Deep Builds
Realm of Ink blends 2.5D action with roguelite structure. Death resets the run but unlocks new combat forms, relics, and abilities. Players can master nine distinct weapons and styles while equipping over 40 elemental Ink Gems, including Tiger Ink, Venom Ink, and Dragon Ink.
More than 200 perks allow for layered builds, while Ink Pets evolve into over 15 forms depending on your loadout. Four major bosses and more than 20 mythic creatures inspired by Chinese folklore stand in your way.
The structure focuses on momentum. Each run reshapes available relics and perks, pushing you to adapt rather than repeat the same strategy.
Oread Crossover From BlazBlue Entropy Effect
Leap Studio also revealed a crossover with 91Act, bringing Oread from BlazBlue Entropy Effect into Realm of Ink as a fully playable character.
Oread enters with a new Ink Gem, two exclusive Ink Pet skins, and a set of perks tailored to her combat style. The crossover appears at the end of the newly released trailer, offering a first look at how she fits into the Ink Realm.
