Double Fine Productions has announced that its quirky multiplayer brawler Kiln will officially launch on April 23, 2026, bringing its chaotic, pottery-themed action to a wide range of platforms.
The game will be available across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, with full support for Xbox Play Anywhere and Game Pass Ultimate at launch.
Hands-On Opportunities Before Launch
Players eager to try Kiln ahead of release won’t have to wait long. Double Fine has confirmed that closed playtests will be available prior to launch, and sign-ups are now open for those interested in early access.
In addition, an open beta will take place on Steam from April 9 through April 11, giving players a limited-time opportunity to jump into the game and experience its offbeat, competitive gameplay firsthand.
Pre-Orders and Special Edition Details
Pre-orders for Kiln will go live alongside the open beta, offering two different editions for players to choose from.
The standard edition will be priced at $19.99, while the Fired Up edition will be available for $29.99. This upgraded version includes the base game along with a variety of customization options, such as premium glazes, stickers, attachments, and custom pots.
Players who opt for the Fired Up edition will also receive bonus chips, an in-game currency used to unlock additional customization items as they progress through gameplay.
A Unique Take on Multiplayer Brawling
Kiln stands out with its unusual premise, blending party brawler mechanics with a pottery-inspired theme. While details about gameplay systems are still emerging, early impressions suggest a chaotic multiplayer experience focused on creativity, customization, and fast-paced competition.
