Lost Castle 2 will leave Steam Early Access and launch its full 1.0 version on June 11, 2026, developer Hunter Studio announced.
The beat ’em up roguelite has sold more than 700,000 units since entering Early Access in July 2024, and the full release date was revealed alongside a new gameplay trailer shown during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase. Ahead of launch, the game is also discounted by 20% from April 9 through April 16 as part of the Triple-i Steam Sale.
Version 1.0 brings the final chapter and new difficulty levels
The full release will mark the end of the game’s Phase 6 roadmap and introduce the Final Story Ending, bringing the main narrative to a close.
Hunter Studio also confirmed that Ethereal Nightmare 4 and 5 will be added with the 1.0 update, expanding the game’s highest difficulty options for players looking for tougher runs. In addition, players will be able to unlock the Third Layer Resonance for Inscriptions, adding another layer to character builds and progression.
The studio says out-of-match progression systems have also been reworked and balanced based on player feedback gathered throughout Early Access.
Final Early Access update available now
Before the June launch, Lost Castle 2 has also received its last major Early Access content update. The Hidden Mage Tower update is available now and adds a secret level, new bosses, rebalanced single-handed weapons, and an updated story unlock system.
That update is the final major step before the full 1.0 release arrives in June.
Community item design contest begins April 10
To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Hunter Studio is also launching a community design contest. Players will be able to submit designs for weapons, armor, and accessories for a chance to have them featured in the game.
Submissions will be open from April 10 through April 20.
