Nitro Gen Omega will leave Early Access and launch its full Version 1.0 on May 12, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Developer Destinybit also confirmed that pre-orders are now open and a new demo is available, featuring the first chapter of the upcoming Main Quest.
A turn-based RPG sandbox set in a machine-ruled future
Set in a post-apocalyptic world controlled by machines, Nitro Gen Omega is a turn-based RPG sandbox where players build a crew and command a customizable mech while surviving across dangerous wastelands.
The game’s combat system is split into two phases. During the Planning Phase, players map out actions using a timeline-based system. In the Resolution Phase, those tactics play out in fully animated anime-style sequences.
Crew management, contracts, and relationship systems
Outside of battle, players can take on contracts and missions while exploring the wasteland, expanding their crew, and turning their airship into a home base.
The game also includes relationship-building systems among crewmates, with morale and personal bonds influencing future battles and the team’s overall progression.
Version 1.0 adds the Main Quest
The full 1.0 release introduces Nitro Gen Omega’s Main Quest, which follows the crew on a final attempt to save the world from the machines. According to Destinybit, this version also adds new characters, animated sequences, and an expanded soundtrack.
Players can preview the opening chapter of that story right now through the newly released demo.
