Deep Silver and King Art Games have announced that Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will launch on September 17, 2026. Players who purchase the Commander Edition will receive three days of early access starting September 14.
The release date was revealed during the Warhammer Skulls Showcase alongside a new trailer and post-launch roadmap.
Standard and Commander Editions Revealed
The Standard Edition includes the base game and will be priced at $59.99. It is available to pre-order now with a 10% discount.
The Commander Edition will be priced at $89.99 and includes three-day early access, all Year One content, and the official digital soundtrack. It is also available with a 10% pre-order discount.
Crusade Mode Returns After Launch
Crusade Mode will return in Fall 2026 as part of the game’s free post-launch content. The mode lets players build armies, lead commanders, and fight across a strategic campaign map where decisions and victories shape the war.
Free updates will also add new modes, map packs, a Mission Editor, and additional Last Stand commanders with unique abilities, loadouts, and bespoke Crusades.
Year One Expansions Detailed
Dawn of War IV will receive two major paid campaign expansions during Year One.
The Blood Ravens Story Prologue follows a Blood Ravens strike force returning to Aurelia, setting up events tied to the chapter’s future through battles involving ancient relics.
The Aftermath Campaign Expansion continues the main campaign, adds a fifth faction across all modes, expands Crusade Mode, and introduces new playable commanders.
