Nintendo Wii Price Cut to $150, Budget Game Lineup Revealed

Nintendo is furthering the price drop of the Nintendo Wii, now down to $149.99 starting May 15. In addition, new bundle offerings will include Mario Kart Wii and the Wii Wheel controller. It will still include the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck controller. Console colors are available in standard black or white.

In Europe, however, the Wii Sports bundle will not be discontinued, instead it receives a price cut. Nintendo will introduce the Mario Kart Wii bundle, but only in white, on May 20.

The publisher also unveiled a budget-priced Wii classics line, called ‘Nintendo Selects,’ beginning May 20th. The ‘Nintendo Selects’ line, similar to PS3’s Greatest Hits and Xbox 360’s Platinum Hits, currently includes The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Sports Sluggers, and Wii Sports for a mere $20 each.
