Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup

Six NES and 2 SNES games will be available upon the launch of the Virtual Console on Wii U later this week.

The Wii U Virtual Console was announced to be hitting the day after the anticipated system update. Nintendo has now released the first set of games which will be available for purchase:

Super Nintendo:

F-Zero
Super Mario World

NES:

Balloon Fight
Donkey Kong Jr.
Excitebike
Ice Climber
Kirby’s Adventure
Punch-Out

If you already purchased titles from the Wii’s Virtual Console and have transferred them to the Wii U you will be able to upgrade them to include all of the Wii U exclusive features (off TV play, Miiverse, save state) by paying Nintendo another $1.
