Respawn’s Titanfall Launches March 11, 2014

The highly anticipated online shooter from Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall is scheduled to be released on March 11, 2014. Available to pre-order today is the $250 collector’s edition.

The collector’s edition of  Titanfall includes that huge statue (18’’ tall with a 16” x 16” base) with LED lighting, a 190 page full color, hardcover art book, an Atlas Titan schematic poster and a copy of Titanfall for either Xbox 360, Xbox One or PC.

What this special, very expensive edition of Titanfall doesn’t come with is any DLC or season pass. Respawn mentioned in their FAQ on their site that “If DLC content is offered for Titanfall, it will be offered separately.” An interesting choice to not offer dedicated fans discount/bundled season pass. Games like Call of Duty and Halo typically have included a season pass for upcoming DLC.

A bold move by Respawn, speaking to their confidence in their game probably as a result of the endless praise from critics and fans alike who have had a chance to play this multiplayer only shooter.

March 11 2014 is the day to remember. Titanfall will be released exclusively on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
